MPG to L/100 km Converter

How the calculation works

For US gallons, L/100 km = 235.214583 ÷ MPG. For Imperial gallons, L/100 km = 282.480936 ÷ MPG. The same constants convert back: MPG = constant ÷ L/100 km.

A US gallon is 3.785411784 litres; an Imperial gallon is 4.54609 litres. Higher MPG means lower fuel consumption; lower L/100 km means lower fuel consumption. The conversion changes units, not the underlying driving-test conditions.
